Ford India has sold 111,631 wholesale and export units so far this year, a 30pc increase compared to January - November last year. Sales for both wholesale and exports totalled 10,091 in November. Despite a challenging industry environment, the company sold 8,322 wholesale units in the domestic market in November 2011, up 11 percent from 7,504 wholesale domestic units during the same month last year. Ford India exported 1,769 cars and added three more export markets -- Sri Lanka, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia -- in November to take its export footprint to 30 countries. “We are nearing the end of a positive year where we continue to see strong customer acceptance of our brands and we are selling more despite challenging market conditions. It is great to see the Figo exported to 30 international markets," said Ford India President and Managing Director Michael Boneham. "We are eagerly looking forward to the Delhi Auto Show in January where there will be many surprises awaiting our customers." As part of its commitment to enhance the service experience for customers, Ford India rolled out four new mobile service vans across four dealerships during November – in Madurai, Mysore, Kochi and Rajkot. These vans, in addition to four pilot vans launched earlier, will act as service multipliers and help Ford India touch more customers at tier 2-3 locations. Ford India's sales and service network includes 200 outlets in over 111 cities. The company plans to add several more service outlets and mobile service vans by end of this year.
